In science year 3 children have been learning about keeping safe in the sun. We learnt that although the sun has many benefits, such as providing vitamin D, keeping us warm, giving us light and helping plants grow (through the process of photosynthesis). We also looked at how it can be harmful if we are exposed to too much UV radiation.
Year 3 made sunglasses, using card and cellophane to protect their eyes in the sun. Pictures below show a range of 3P's sunglasses : )
