Our new topic this term is ‘Let’s move’.

 

We have been looking at different kinds of transport that can move from one place to another.

 

  Lots of these vehicles are used by the ‘Heroes in our community’, like the police, ambulance drivers and fire fighters. They use these vehicles to help out in an emergency.

 

This week our focus in the classroom has been about the fire service. We set up the small world area with ‘Fire engines and fire fighters’ for the children to explore.

 

 In our garden, lots of children had fun dressing up as fire fighters to put out fires, and of course, the police were helping out too.
