5F are making waves!

At Ray Lodge, we believe that physical education is as vital as academic learning. This term, our Year 5 students are diving into a series of swimming lessons designed not only to teach vital water safety skills but also to promote water confidence and teamwork.

Each week, students head to the local pool, where they are greeted by our dedicated instructors. These lessons cover everything from basic strokes to more advanced techniques, ensuring that every student, regardless of their starting point, feels supported and challenged. The joy of splashing around with classmates fosters a sense of camaraderie, as students cheer each other on while they navigate the water.

Swimming is an essential life skill, and we’re thrilled to see our students embrace the opportunity. They’re learning about resilience, as some face their fears and conquer their hesitations in the water. It’s not just about swimming; it’s about building character and developing a healthy, active lifestyle.

We encourage parents to reinforce these lessons at home, whether through family swims or discussions about water safety. Together, we’re not only helping our students become better swimmers but also instilling important values that will benefit them for years to come.

As we continue this journey, we can’t wait to see how our Year 5 students grow—both in and out of the pool!
